Hi everyone,
We've been in places where I haven't been able stay in touch with you all. It was explained to me that the internet, as well as other services are overloaded since they are designed for the actual population of the town. Normally, about 3000, it grows to 100 thousands.
People say the internet sucks here.
I'll be back real soon to tell you more about what I've been doing. I've also got some more stories about our summer trip and other RV adventures.

Something really fun happened today. I was sorta lounging and Jay was outside doing something with tools to the thing he calls a bike. After a while he called me to go for a ride, I'm always ready to ride. I bounded out the door and came to a quick stop...where was the golf cart? I can't ride without that.
Jay was sitting on his bike telling me we were going to ride that thing?? How is this supposed to work?
Well, Margie put my blanket in what she called a basket and lifted me into it. Ummm, wait, whoa...you must be kidding?
Jay petted me and said that everything would be ok and for me to stay. Ok, I'll be trusting and I settled in for this ride.
We went around inside the RV park for a little bit and I got pretty comfortable. It was a lot more fun than I thought at first. It was almost as good as the treat I got after Margie lifted me down. I like treats and being told I'm a good girl.
Later we went for a ride uptown. The big trucks going by disturbed me at first. I kinda got used to that, but the ATVs on the road are real loud sometimes. Jay says I have to be still, so I don't wiggle, but I can still see things all around and that's nice. I was a very good girl and we had a good time.
I can do this bike thing. I can go all kinds of places now.
Hey, I guess that makes me a biker babe :)
I appreciate all the comments and they are always welcome.

Hi. It was nice and warm today. I spent some time napping in the sun outdoors. Jay went for a bike ride, but we spent most of the day together. We went for walks and visited with people and a few nice doggies in our park. Margie went with a neighbor to Parker to get groceries and the food I like.
Sometimes Jay and I sit and talk, like today. He tells me all kinds of things and I talk back with different sounds. I don't know if we understand each other all the time, but I enjoy our exchanges. Doggies like hearing humans talk, especially with their happy voices. But wait, I planned to tell you about something else.
While we were in Beatty Nv we drove to a place called Rhyolite. Its a ghost town, but we didn't meet any ghosts there. The only people who live out there are the ones called Caretakers. I'm not real clear on the attraction people have for such a place. There are only a few buildings that have big fences around them. The rest didn't look much like buildings to me. Jay explained that back in 1908 there were lots of people and buildings. They made millions of dollars mining gold there for a short time and then everyone just went away.
One place J & M liked was a house made of bottles. That sounds odd to me since I know water I drink comes from bottles. Jay said they were mostly from whisky and beer. I guess water bottles don't make good houses. The other building was the train station that was also a casino when the town had people. I know about trains, big and noisy. I was in a casino once and they are big and noisy too. Humans seem to like noise and there was no noise in Rhyolite anymore. Jay said we went there because its part of history. Well, it all looked like a bunch of sand and rocks from my point of view.
We loaded up and drove a little way down the old road to what they said was a museum. I don't get to go into museums, but this one was outside, so we walked around. There were old things that came from the town and some sculptures that really interested J & M. It was "The Last Supper". I heard they were made by draping fabric over people, covering it all with plaster. When its dry the person wiggles out leaving a strange shape. Maybe these are the ghosts of that town, after all. Margie walked around a prayer circle and said her prayers for a safe trip would be answered. Looking back, she must have been right.
I like snooping around, but history isn't really my thing. It did get my attention, however, when Jay said it was time to make some lunch. Food is one thing I understand very well.
That afternoon we went to the park back in Beatty to play and lay in the grass. I'll take a park over a ghost town any day.

I was really busy today riding on the golf cart with Jay. I like riding and I'm real good at staying on the seat while Jay waves at the people parking their RVs. He says he has to use hand signals to guide them into the space and make sure they don't hit anything. Sometimes they don't follow directions, so I have to wait longer to ride more. We ride sometimes so we can "check on things", whatever that means. Call it what you want, its fun for me.
It was a lot warmer today, but I still liked snuggling inside Jay's jacket.
I really am working on the next post about our trip. You'll have to pardon the delay since I had so much to do today.
Right now, I'm going to pester J & M till I get some treats. I'm a spoiled brat, do I got dis, LOL.

Gosh, I bet some of my readers were beginning to think I had disappeared. Jay has been busy doing things he says will help keep the RV warm easier this winter. It was cozy last night when it got cold outside. I've been just plain lazy and stayed burrowed under my blanket the past few days. I don't like being cold. I have a light jacket, but I'm getting a warmer, custom one cuz of my bum shoulder.
I was telling you about Las Vegas, a place I think is more for humans than dogs.
Now, Pahrump, Nv was fun. We were there 3 days in the spring and I got to go to the park everyday. One day they had lots of old cars. I'll have to take Jay's word about all the nice colors they were painted since dogs see only limited colors. They called it a car show and I liked it because Jay was having a good time. My favorite thing a was booth that was giving out free doggie snacks and helped other dogs find good humans to adopt. The dogs shared their water bowl I wished them good luck...they could see I was happy with the humans I had adopted.
We played in the desert and met some new people with dogs I could play with.
Jay & Margie only stayed in the casino long enough to use what they call "free play" that's given with some kind of club card by most casinos. I think we all had a good time in Pahrump-pa-pum-pum (sorry, Jay couldn't resist typing that, LOL)
They loaded up a whole bunch of groceries while I watched to make sure some new goodies were put into "my" cabinet.
The next morning we were off down the road again.
Our next stop was Amargosa Valley the same night. It was warm there and we stayed a week enjoying the comfortable spring weather. We did a lot of exploring. There were animals there too. They had a huge bull that I was told is one of the largest in the country. He's very old now. J & M liked the collection of antiques inside and around the grounds of the RV park. I liked the big grassy yard where I could play.
We went to Beatty, Nv next and it was a strange place. I never saw one before, but they have wild burros walking around town. Can you imagine that?? The relatives of the ones left in the desert now are descendants of burros used buy humans here about 100 years ago. Many of them will come right up to a person who offers them snacks. They like carrots just like I do, but they will eat them all up if I don't speak in time. One morning 2 burros came to our door looking for a treat. Margie gave them little rice cakes and I got one too. Burros aren't so bad as long as you make sure they don't eat all the goodies.
Beaty has a big park where Margie put down a blanket and we all relaxed in the sun after they went to a museum.
J & M had heard of an RV park with hot mineral baths, so we went there. I don't like baths and whatever minerals are didn't change things for me. They kept saying "bath" and "water", so for 5 miles I worried I would have to endure the
dreaded B-A-T-H. Wow, was I ever relieved when I heard no doggies were allowed in this bath. Whew....now, I could concentrate on meeting the dogs that lived there. They both had long shaggy hair and were fun guys. We ran around and they showed me their 2 buffaloes, some ducks, chickens, and a goat. Of course, I barked since these things were new to me. Jay warned me, but little barks kept slipping out with him shaking his finger as I tried to stop. That was funny because Jay was trying his best not to laugh. Margie was cracking up over by a tree. It was everything I could do to keep from barking louder. The hot springs place turned out to be good for us all. J & M relaxed a couple days and I had a great place to play with new friends. At that time of the year there were only a few RVs there and everyone was friendly. I liked the meals they all shared under the big tree. Doggies get lots of good munchies at those.
We also met up with a guy Jay had known in Arizona years ago. He was a nice guy, but his big dog was real old and didn't like little doggies much. Margie fed some more burros and this time I didn't get close enough to bark at them. I was tired from walking that day and fell asleep soon as we got home.

Anyway, Jay got some stuff he said was foil and bubbles to insulate some windows. I don't know a thing about insulation, but I'm all for it if it keeps me warmer. Margie handed him a tool called a tape that he held up to the windows, said some numbers and then laid it on the foil stuff.
Now, I knew I'd better keep my eyes on him with a tool in his hands, but then, he picked up a real sharp tool. That's when I figured I'd better put on my super supervisor look.
Everything went smoothly and I didn't even have to listen to any cuss words (this time, LOL).
Its comfy inside and I Jay said the heater is set lower. I guess all my hard work today being top dog was worth it.
You just don't know what a job it is watching over 2 humans, so you'll have to pardon my short post tonight.
Stay warm and snug.
